The Hovden Family

Last month I took a trip out to Chicago to visit my good friends Sara & Ivan.  Sara and I met in college in Drawing 1 class and she has been one of my best friends ever since!  I had not been out to visit them since her baby shower the April before, and since the twins were 8 1/2 months old now, I was definitely due for a visit!!!  I had a great time meeting Keaton and Vaughn for the first time, and I of course had to take my camera with me!!!  Here are a handful of images from their in home session.

Leo @ 3 months

My good friend Monica brought her little guy Leo in last week for his 3 month photos - boy is he a growin' boy!  I always enjoy photographing my friends' children and seeing them grow.  Here are a few of my favorites from his session....

Jaxson

Last week my friend Meagan came down from Cherokee with her son Jaxson.  Although he was a little serious at first, we ended up getting some great smiles out of him.  His sister Madison was along to help out with that!  And - he is already a Hawkeye fan!  Here are a few image from his session....

 

Stella is one!

Stella Louise is one!  And boy did that year go fast....seems like just yesterday James & Emily were in for newborn portraits with her.  For her one year portraits, Stella brought a few of her favorite things from home with her, including her mixing bowl and piano!  Here are a few of my favorite images from her session...

Tregg @ 6 months

It hard to believe it but Tregg is 6 months old already!  Tregg was as cute as every when he was in a couple of weeks ago, and this time he brought some airplanes with him.  However I think he was more into eating them than playing with them!  Here are a few of my favorites from that session.....

Paul

Alex & Laura's Engagements : Round One

Alex and Laura came to the studio back in January (yes I am a little behind!) for their first set of engagements.  It had just snowed, which was perfect for the outdoor images in their vintage outfits we hoped to capture!  We started indoors with some formals, then went outside of my building - it was a little cold but we had a great time!  Here are a few of my favorites.....stay tuned for part 2 of their engagements in the spring!

 

The Hustedts

Last week my friends Jordan and Joel brought their new little baby girl Eve into the studio for family portraits.  Eve was only 9 days old and absolutely beautiful.  She slept for the first part and then was wide awake for the end of the session, so we were able to get some great images with her eyes open too.  Here are some of my favorites....

Little Mister Nate

Nate made his first visit to the studio last week and I just couldn't wait to meet him!  His mom, Sara, is one of my closest friends from college and lives in Omaha now.  Nate is 3 months old already and is quite the looker already!  And such a happy baby!  Here are a few images from his session...

Brook & Andy's Jamaica Wedding

Last month I had the privilege of photographing my very first destination wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  And let me just say.....it was amazing!!!  Best work trip ever!  

Brook and Andy, along with close friends and family, invited me to accompany them to the Riu resort of Montego Bay where they were married on the beach on Valentine's Day.  It was a beautiful ceremony followed by a wonderful meal......and following that we had front row seats for that night's entertainment!  Below are a group of images from their special day.......
