About a month ago I went down to Ida Grove to meet up with the Parks family for some afternoon photos. Although it was a hot day, we had a great time and managed to capture some great images! The kids had a great time out on the paddle boat with their dad, and even found a huge frog sitting on a rock at the pond. We really got some laughs when it jumped in the water and splashed them! Baby Pryce was in last week for his newborn photos - what a cutie! Pryce just didn't want to miss anything that was happening, but once we got him to sleep, we got some great images. And he is a Hawkeye fan already!!! Here are a few of my favorites....
Nicole is a friend of mine from back in the college days - she actually attended BVU with my high school friend, Marsha, and we had traveled to Kentucky once together when Marsha moved down there with her husband, Patrick. So when Nicole called me saying she would like me to do her wedding photos, I was thrilled!
Nate and Nicole were married on Friday, May 27th at Blessed Sacrement in Sioux City. It rained on and off throughout photos, but we went outside in between the rain showers and were able to get some great images. The reception was held at Bev's on the River, which always makes a beautiful setting!

Spring was certainly busy in the studio this year, especially with children's portraits! This year was the first year I decided not to do the easter bunny promotion (and my allergies thanked me tremendously!) - so instead I decided to run a spring promotion in May, and it was equally successful! Combined with my regular Newborn Program customers, it was a busy month! Here are a few images from some recent sessions.

Last week inbetween rain storms, I went out with my good friends Tish and Cory (aka Woody) and photographed their engagement portraits! It ended up to be a beautiful evening. We started at their home, and then went up towards Quimby to the river access where we did some incredible shots on an old bridge. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in a couple weeks!
