Brice and Amanda were married on September 17th in Algona, Iowa. It seems like each year I have one wedding over in Algona, and I always enjoy traveling there - especially when the I get to see familiar faces from previous or future weddings! Brice & Amanda's day was a little on the chilly side - but we managed to get a lot of great outdoor images both before and after the ceremony. Here are a few images from their day.

Eric and Samantha were married back on September 3rd in Storm Lake. The ceremony was at the Methodist Church with a reception to follow at King's Pointe. During our time to photograph before the ceremony it really started to rain - but luckily Sam had umbrellas for the entire wedding party, which made great images! After the ceremony the sun was out and the weather was perfect, so we went along the lake for a some more shots before heading into the reception.

Ben & Mandy were married back on August 27th in Marcus, Iowa. Once again - another fantastic wedding to photograph! I started photographing Ben & Mandy at the church around 1:00, and from there we went downtown to a few spots and then to Mandy's parents farm. Following the ceremony we went out into the country and to the local golf course for some more fun images with the entire wedding party! And as I am coming to find out - Marcus weddings are some of the most fun around! They go all out with the "stealing of the bride & groom" - and I get to tag along!

Each summer I feel lucky to be able to photograph a fun wedding almost every weekend. And Guy and Elizabeth were no exception. Except when I say they were fun - I actually mean super duper fun! (that includes their wedding party!)
Guy and Elizabeth were married back on August 13th ( yes I am still way behind on posts) in Sioux City. It was a 2:00 ceremony, with a reception to follow at the Stoney Creek Inn with dinner and dancing. And oh my how they could dance! But before we arrived at the reception I already knew it was going to be a fantastic time - we had stopped for some photos down on Historic 4th Street and hit up the popular spot Buffalo Alice's. They were one of the most entertaining wedding parties I have every photographed - as I am sure you can see by the photos! Back on August I traveled all the way across the state to West Liberty to photograph Austin and Katie's wedding. I love to travel around the state to photograph and it was definitely worth the drive! Before the ceremony we were able to do some great shots outside the church on their historic brick streets, and after we went to an old train depot for some more fun images with the entire wedding party. Here are some that are my fav's - congrats you two and thank you for letting me travel your way for a fun day!
Bryan and Sara were married back on July 23rd in Aurelia, Iowa. I remember that day being one of those super duper hot July days where you could hardly breathe outside! I also remember the Bryan and Sara, along with the wedding party, being so great about doing outdoor pictures even with the heat! The wedding was followed by a reception at Buena Vista University. Between we did take a short time to stop by the lake for a few images, and stop at the arch on campus. Here are some of my favorite images from the day - congrats you two!
Back on July 16th I photographed the wedding of Alex & Laura, who are one of the cutest couples ever! I had such a great time with them on their engagement sessions, so I knew that their wedding day would be just as fun! The ceremony was in Newell, and the reception followed at Halderwood Farms near Pocahontas. I had never been to this location before and it was amazing! What a perfect place for a reception. After the homecooked meal, Alex's acapella group from college sang a few songs, and then it was upstairs for the dance. Here are some images from their fun-filled day!
Val and Jon were married this past summer on July 9th in Schaller, Iowa. It was one of those super hot July summer days and the local festival - Schaller Popcorn Days - just happened to be going on. After the ceremony at the church, and many great outdoor photos, we headed to the carnival! Despite the heat, the bride and groom had a great time and we got some super cool images. The reception was at King's Pointe Resort in Storm Lake and we had a little time inbetween to stop at the lake for a few more shots before going inside. Congrats guys!
On June 25th of last year I got to go up to the lakes and photograph Jess & Jamie's wedding. I absolutely love shooting weddings at the lakes in the summer! The wedding was in Spirit Lake, and the reception followed at The Arrowwood Resort in Okoboji. Between the wedding and the ceremony we went down to the lake and did some fun photos with the wedding party, then stopped at the Barefoot Bar for some more! It was such a fun day - here are a few favorites from the day...
